The 2014 Wavelength conference will be held 14-16th April in the beautiful town of Great Malvern, Worcestershire.
Wavelength is the re-branded RSPSoc annual student meeting which now welcomes both postgraduate students (or keen undergrads!) and early career professionals working in remote sensing and photogrammetry.
Wavelength prides itself on offering a relaxed and friendly atmosphere for people to present their work. It also features a number of career-oriented keynote speakers, and some fun social events.

Conferences sessions, all meals and overnight accommodation will be provided at Malvern St James School.
The main conference will take place in Lawnside, and bedrooms will be in Greenslade House. These will be mostly single rooms, with shared bathrooms and a large communal lounge.
Venue facilities available to delegates includes…
- Free Wifi – in the Greenslade lounge and at other hotspot in the main building
- Swimming Pool – laned swimming at no additional charge
- Sports Facilities – tennis courts, badminton courts, football pitches can all be used (with prior notice to the Sports Centre)
- Gym and Fitness Classes – including Yoga, Pilates, Spinning, Zumba and others (pay per class)
Submit an Abstract
The Wavelength Conference features research and other work which makes use of remote sensing and photogrammetry. This includes a great variety of different application areas, platforms, datasets, sensors and techniques. Here are a few examples…
Application areas – natural hazards, civil engineering, geology, geomorphology, ecology, river science, archaeology, forestry, agriculture etc…
Platforms – satellites, planes, unmanned aerial vehicles, terrestrial and mobile based systems.
Approaches – photogrammetry, LiDAR, radar, optical, multispectral, hyperspectral, laser scanning, etc…

Deadline for submissions is Friday 17th January 2014
250 words max (not including the title)
State your preference for oral or poster presentation
Include affiliations of all authors
Include a contact email address for the presenter
Notification of abstract acceptance will be provided by Monday 3rd February 2014
Oral presentations should be 15 mins long, followed by 5 mins for questions
Please follow these instructions to register for Wavelength 2014. You are welcome to register to just attend the conference without submitting an abstract.
Registration will close on Friday 14th February 2014.
Option 1 – Full Delegate Rate – £60*/£85 – Includes 2 nights accommodation, all meals and conference fees
Option 2 – Food & Fees Rate – £45*/£70 – Includes lunches, dinners and conference fees
Option 3 – Fees Only Rate – £20*/£45 – Includes conference fees only (no meals included!)

Wavelength 2014 will run from lunchtime on Monday 14th April to lunchtime on Wednesday 16th April 2014. The full conference programme will be available in February 2014.
